Martina Stoessel - TINI (2016) | Recenzja / Review
Cześć po krótkiej przerwie. Dzisiaj chciałem Wam przedstawić pierwsze solowe dzieło Martiny Stoessel, Argentynki, którą na pewno znacie z głównej roli w serialu Violetta. Płyta składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza z nich to własny repertuar artystki pod szyldem nowej wytwórni - Hollywood Records. Druga natomiast, to ścieżka dźwiękowa do filmu Tini: Nowe życie Violetty. Zajmę się jednak tą autorską wersją. Na płycie znajdziemy dwanaście utworów, jednak cztery z nich to po prostu hiszpańskie wersje poprzedników, więc łącznie mamy ich tylko osiem. Nic dziwnego, że wytwórnia postanowiła wypuścić materiał razem - w przeciwnym razie mielibyśmy EP, które na pewno nie rozeszłoby się w takim nakładzie jak teraz. Zapraszam na recenzję.
Hello. Today I would like to show you the new album by Martina Stoessel, who can be known from her main role in Disney Channel Original TV Series "Violetta". Her longplay consists of two parts. First one is Martina's authorial stuff with her new label - Hollywood Records. When the second one is a soundtrack from "Tini: Born To Shine". But today I'll take Martina's own one. There are twelve songs, of which four of them are in Spanish, which means that there are actually only eight compositions. No wonder why music label decided to put in all together - otherwise we would have EP, which obviously wouldn't sell as great as now. Let me take you to the review.
All You Gotta Do / Sólo Dime Tu
Początek płyty i już słyszymy dosyć klubowe brzmienie. Piosenka jest bardzo skoczna i energetyczna. Najlepszy jest refren i bridge. Mam nadzieję, że Martina zostanie w tym stylu muzyki, bo nie łudźmy się, ma już za dużo ballad na koncie (głównie z serialu). Mimo, że tekst nie jest zbytnio rozległy i cały czas się powtarza, piosenka nie nudzi się tak szybko. Dobrze dobrana na wejście.
The beginning of the record and there are already some club vibes. The song is really catchy and energetic. Refrain and bridge are the best. I hope that Martina would stay in this style of music. Don't be so shy and let's say that she has already got too many ballads (most of them are from Violetta). Despite the lyrics not being so vivid and repetitive, this piece isn't monotonous.
Great Escape
Pierwszy singiel z płyty. Muszę niestety się przyznać, że nie byłem dużym fanem muzyki Martiny i ominąłem tę piosenkę, kiedy była premiera. Teraz tego żałuję, bo jest to naprawdę bardzo dobra pozycja. Zahaczająca o R'n'B kompozycja, ze wstawkami z gitarą flamenco i wznoszącym się głosem Argentynki jest idealna na wszelkiego rodzaju imprezy. Uh-huh, I've been running!
The first single from her debut album. I need to admit that I wasn't a huge fan of Stoessel's music and I skipped this song when it had come out. Now I regret this because it is great. It is mixed with R'n'B and flamenco music. Well-crafted for every party. Uh-huh, I've been running!
Still Standing / Sigo Adelante
Niestety, najgorsza piosenka z płyty. Zaczyna się bardzo spokojnie, ale kiedy dochodzimy do refrenu, czar pryska. Jak już pisałem, za dużo ballad. Założę się, że panna Stoessel chciałaby zerwać etykietkę Violetty i pójść dalej z nowymi projektami. Dlatego takie kompozycje niestety nie wpływają na to za dobrze.
Unfortunately, it is the worst song on the album. It starts really calm, but when the refrain drops everything is messed up. As I have already written - too many ballads. I bet that Stoessel would like not to be just Violetta and start some new projects and spread her wings. This is why such songs don't help her achieve it.
Got Me Started
Drugi singiel z płyty, dzięki któremu odkryłem te wydawnictwo. Z początku wydawał mi się dosyć mainstreamowy, ale po kilku odsłuchach stał się jednym z najlepszych hitów tej zimy. Polecam każdemu takie wydanie Martiny!
The second single, which brought me to listen to the whole record. At first, it sounds to me kinda mainstream, but then it turned out to be one of the best songs of this winter. Mazel tov!
My Stupid Heart / Si Tu Te Vas
Na początku trudno jest stwierdzić, że to propozycja panny Stoessel. Kawałek mocno rockowo-popowy, ale w dobrym tego słowa znaczeniu. Dosyć podobna do Renegades zespołu X Ambassadors lub jednej z pierwszych piosenek Kelly Clarkson. Brawo Martina! W hiszpańskiej wersji najbardziej podoba mi się śpiewany wers: "Noches sin piedad, en la oscuridad".
At first, you can't really say that this is Martina's piece. This one has virtually rock-pop sound. It is similar to Renegades by X Ambassadors or one of Kelly Clarkson's first songs. No diggity! Congrats! In the Spanish version, I especially like the verse: "Noches sin piedad, en la oscuridad".

Świetne popowe propozycje. Don't Cry For Me z house'owym tłem szlifuje tę płytę. Piosenkarka bardzo dobrze poradziła sobie z wyzwaniem tego utworu. Można się przy nim naprawdę bawić. I Finders Keepers, przez niektórych uznawany za najlepszą pozycję na płycie. Muszę przyznać, piosenka jest oryginalna i ma pazurek, ale nie zasługuje na miano najlepszej (czwarte miejsce wystarczy). Martina bawi się tutaj głosem, przechodząc między tonacjami (szczególnie w refrenie), co wychodzi znakomicie.
The greatest pop ones. Don't Cry For Me with house background is making this longplay diamond. Singer succeeded in tackling the challenge. Dance to this one. Finders Keepers which is said as the best of the record. Ok, it has it all and it is original, but it doesn't deserve first place (fourth could be fine). Martina is playing with her voice here (especially in refrain) which is excellent and brilliant.

Druga ballada z płyty, jednak ta jak najbardziej udana. Słychać tutaj mocny, wyćwiczony głos Argentynki. W obu językach ten utwór ma moc i potrafi oczarować. Bardzo podoba mi się to rozwiązanie, by umieścić Handwritten na końcu.
Second pop ballad out there, but this is well-made, We can hear strong and trained Argentinian's voice. In both languages, this song can charm. I do really like the idea of putting Handwritten at the very end.
Martina nareszcie zaczyna swoją prawdziwą muzyczną przygodę. Widać przemyślane i dobrze wyprodukowane utwory. Nie wspomniałem o tym wcześniej, ale na serwisach streamingowych istnieje specjalne wydanie, które zawiera hiszpańskie wersje Great Escape - Yo Me Escaparé (Kliknij i posłuchaj) i Got Me Started - Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare w remiksie z Sebastianem Yatrą (Kliknij i posłuchaj).
Martina already started her true music adventure. Reasoned approaches and well-produced compositions are seen. I didn't mention but on streaming platforms exists a special issue of this longplay. It includes the Spanish version of Great Escape - Yo Me Escaparé (Click & listen) and Got Me Started - Ya No Hay Nadie Que Nos Pare in the remix with Sebastian Yatra (Click & listen).
